Creating Sustainable and Accessible Homes

This project involved the development of 29no. affordable homes in a residential area, addressing the local housing needs. The triangular site was carefully designed to respect the historic context and maintain the existing street patterns. 

Challenges and Solutions

  • Sustainable and Accessible Design: The project prioritised sustainable materials, energy-efficient technologies, and accessibility standards to ensure that all residents could live comfortably. 
  • Efficient Space Planning: Careful consideration was given to furniture placement and storage requirements to create functional and comfortable spaces. 
  • Planning Negotiations: Extensive planning negotiations were undertaken to secure necessary permissions and address any concerns from local authorities and the community.
